In my (valiant) bid to test out all the Noosa spas, it would be remiss of me to overlook Ripple Massage and Beauty, which comes to you at your hotel, holiday apartment or home. It's a lot more than a mobile massage service - packages can include everything from body scrubs and massage to anti-ageing facials. It really is like going to a day spa without having to leave your room, and it's generally cheaper than going to a day spa, so it's affordable pampering.
People rave about their chocolate massage (pictured), but I opted for Russian massage, which is a deep-tissue style. It was a three-hour package, which sounds a bit over the top, but I could have easily coped with more!
It started with a foot soak and went on to a fully body exfoliation and full body massage including Indian head massage and foot reflexology, and finished with a clay face mask and collagen face mask. The therapist was fantastic and I didn't even have to drive home afterwards! Highly recommended.
I'm ready to face Christmas now!
Noosa Qld
I'm so excited I get to spend Christmas at home in Noosa this year. Not that I have any complaints about going to visit family elsewhere, but it's such a great time of year to just hang out, relax and soak up the summer holiday atmosphere.
If you're coming to Noosa for Christmas, check out this guide that lists all the restaurant opening times and Christmas events, such as the summer night markets in Eumundi, Santa's Workshop at The Ginger Factory and 'Santa Shuttles' on the Mary Valley Railway.
It also gives details for New Year's Eve events, including the annual party at the Noosa Marina and a Masquerade Party at the restaurant Parque Mexico at Noosa Sound.
If you're going to be in Noosa from Boxing Day to January 3, it's also important to know about the free holiday buses - there will be a lot more people than parking spaces! The free buses run all over Noosa, including the hinterland, and are the best way to get into town. Click here for all the details.

Just back from a rather grand ladies' lunch, to mark the start of the PGA Championship Australia, which kicked off this morning at the Hyatt Regency Coolum.
The annual lunch is about as close as you'll ever get me to a golf course, but there were plenty of golf fans out watching the action on the course.
The ladies lunch was well patronised by celebrities as always - Kerri-Anne Kennerley, Sandra Sully, Melissa Doyle, Raelene Boyle and Liz Ellis to name a handful - and the food was absolutely superb.
It's a shame Tiger Woods isn't here for the PGA - by all accounts he would have been very happy in a room of 450 women!

A lot of fun was had at Noosa's Longest Lunch on Friday (perhaps a bit too much fun at our table!)
It was a great day out, and hopefully raised plenty of dosh for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
If you're looking for Noosa accommodation for the Xmas break or school holidays, there are still a few options available in most price ranges. You can search for available rooms and prices by using the online booking engine at the official Noosa website.
Noosa has everything from caravan parks and camping to luxury waterfront holiday houses - even houseboats - so there's something to suit everyone.
