Free buses for Easter

If you're heading to Noosa for Easter, do you know about the free holiday buses? From Good Friday to Easter Monday, you can jump on and off buses for free, so you don't need a car (just watch out for the oversized rabbit!)

Happy Easter, travel safely.

Quay West Noosa in business

Quay west The Quay West Resort and Spa Noosa has opened its doors and I'm looking forward to going to have a proper look (as opposed the unofficial poke-around I had a few weeks ago!)

It's the first five-star property to open in Noosa in two decades and looks very swanky. It's an apartment style property - one, two and three bedroom apartments - and has a day spa, gym, pool, tennis centre, restaurant and cocktail bar among other things.

It also has a fair bit of conference capacity if you're looking for somewhere for a Noosa conference or event. And a seasonal kids' club, which I think is the only one in town (I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong!)

If everybody had an ocean...

Thought I'd just post a few pics from the Noosa Festival of Surfing, which runs through to this Sunday. The weather's been a bit wild, so there have been plenty of waves!

Noosa Food and Wine Festival nearly here

Food and wine Yikes, this year is going fast. I've just been salivating over the program for the Noosa Food and Wine Festival, which is somehow only a month away, even though I thought we were still in February!

The festival, which runs from April 30 to May 2, is going to be bigger than ever, with a very impressive line-up of guest chefs (I suspect most of them don't take much convincing to come to Noosa!), lunches, concerts, demonstrations, exhibitions and food and wine tastings. You'll probably find me in the cheese room or at the Margarita masterclass!

If you're on Twitter, one of the best ways to keep track of news and promotions for the festival is to follow @queensland or @noosa - there should be some tempting tweets over the next few weeks.

Noosa conference and event guide

Nature_3.2-r Brad says....

Following on from Jane's post about the Noosa wedding guide, there's also a new business events guide for anyone planning a Noosa conference or event.

There's loads of information about venues, entertainment, incentive ideas, suggested itineraries and local support services, plus basics such as transport options.

Noosa really lends itself to conferences and incentives, thanks to its rare mix of natural beauty, outdoor activities, interesting venues and first-class dining and spa options. You can send a request for proposal via the site or call our consultants to talk through your needs.

Noosa wedding guide

Wedding 3 Thought I'd point out this new Noosa wedding guide, in case you're thinking of getting married in Noosa (and hey, what a beautiful place to do it).

It saves you hunting around separately for a celebrant, venue, photographer, hairdresser and everything else you need, because they're now all on one site. There's an archive of real weddings that have been held in Noosa, if you're looking for ideas, and you can also click at the top of the page to look at Noosa accommodation options.

The wedding guide also includes contact details for local wedding planners, if you want someone else to do all the organisation for you. Personally, I reckon not having to do anything other than turn up and enjoy the day sounds like a marvellous plan!
